Baby Teddy

In all of my 6 years of photographing families this is the first one that brought me to tears. The sheer beauty of their journey as a family to bring Teddy into the world made me so emotional…you’ll see where I started crying and everyone started crying!
Rachel lives with Autoimmune Ménière’s disease which has made her recovery from childbirth take a little bit longer than usual. The tenderness and grace that her husband and parents had for her and baby Teddy was incredibly admirable. The warmth they emanated was humbling to say the least.
I think I drove home in silence the entire journey home reflecting on how beautiful this family was and all of the love they have for each other. I’m certain you’ll feel it too.
